Sunil Kataria is Business Head - India and SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Sunil joined GCPL in 2011, where he successfully led the merger of the sales and marketing organisations of GCPL and the erstwhile Godrej Sara Lee.
He has diverse work experience across the FMCG and Consumer Services sectors in Sales, Marketing and business roles, including a highly successful 12 year stint at Marico Industries. Post this, Sunil served as a Business Head in retail and telecom companies, leading large and complex business operations. Prior to joining the Godrej Group, he was Chief Operating Officer of the Idea Rajasthan Circle, where he headed business operations, was responsible for the P&L, and led a major turnaround of the Rajasthan business.
Sunil is Chairman of the Indian Society of Advertisers and closely associated with the CMO forum, FICCI FMCG Committee and Advertising Standards Council of India.
A graduate in Economics from Delhi University, he is also an MBA in Marketing from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad.
Sunil is a staunch practitioner of the spirit of 'Possibility Thinking' and believes that this, coupled with a passion for flawless execution, is the biggest competitive advantage in today's world. An avid reader, he writes Hindi poetry, and loves watching Hindi movies and Hollywood science fiction.
Head - Global Innovation
Anirban Banerjee is Global Head - Innovation, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Anirban leads the Innovation function and is responsible for growing the new products pipeline, implementing innovation processes and influencing a culture of innovation.
In his previous role as Business Head - SAARC & Global Exports, GCPL, Anirban set-up and directly supervised the Godrej subsidiary and partner operations in SAARC and was responsible for growing the complete portfolio of Godrej brands in the region. He also integrated all the Exports teams across GCPL globally under an umbrella of Global Exports, deploying a coordinated exports expansion.
Anirban has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and nurturing new business and product initiatives with a relentless focus on brand building and consumer centricity. Prior to working with GCPL, Anirban played a major role in setting up the luxury retail brand, Godrej Nature's Basket. As Business Head, he successfully repositioned the retail business into an Authentic World Food Retail chain and led its initial expansion. He has also worked with Reliance Infocomm and was responsible for widespread marketing of their CDMA services in the National Capital Region. He started his career with AB Electrolux and managed the resurgence of the Kelvinator brand of refrigerators and the introduction Electrolux brand of front-load washing machines and frost-free refrigerators in India. He has been on the Executive Committee of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry and was a member of the CII Sub Committee on South Asia.
Anirban graduated from St Stephen's College, Delhi, and completed his Master's in Business Administration from Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD, Pune. He loves reading, travelling, exploring and adventure sports. Anirban currently lives with his wife and twin boys in Mumbai.
Head - Research & Development
Venkateswara Rao Yadlapalli is Head - Research & Development, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Venkat joined GCPL in 2014 as a member of the R&D team, where he was responsible for leading product development across categories. Since then, he has led the R&D function for the India and SAARC business and spearheaded global product development across geographies.
Venkat believes that developing ‘disruptive innovations' is a way of life at GCPL. He has been instrumental in applying this thinking to create some of our biggest innovations, including mr. magic (the world's first powder-to-liquid hand wash), the Goodknight Naturals household insecticides range, Goodknight Gold Flash (India's most powerful liquid vapuriser), and Goodknight Power Shots (a no gas aerosol format) in Africa. He has also led the development and execution of the Godrej Professional hair colour range in India. Additionally, Venkat works closely with our Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams, helping to set up best-in-class manufacturing facilities and facilitating cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Prior to joining GCPL, Venkat was the R&D Head at Wipro Consumer Care, where he successfully led product development for leading brands like Santoor, Yardley, Chandrika, Safe Wash, Glucovita, etc. He also worked closely with Wipro's South East Asia team during and post UNZA Holding's merger with Wipro. Before that, Venkat worked with Dabur as a Principal Scientist and was involved in product development of the brand's proprietary ayurvedic products, fermentation process improvements and intellectual property rights.
Venkat has a Master's in Pharmacy from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and a Post Graduate diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from Amity Law School, Delhi. He was awarded a gold medal for topping his university during his Master's degree; and, has, during his career, also received several patents across categories.
Venkat is married to Ramalakshmi, who has a Post Graduate degree in Mathematics, and they have two children Shruthi and Sreekar. In his free time, Venkat enjoys playing sport.
Head - Sales
Pradeep Kumar M is Head - Sales (India), Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Pradeep has more than two decades of diverse work experience in the FMCG space, and a proven track record of successfully building and growing large teams.
He started his career at GCPL, in 2001, with various state-led roles across South India, post which he went on to lead business first for GCPL's southern region and then the northern region. Pradeep credits business success to following tried and tested systems and processes, and it is due to this thinking that many of our brands, across categories, have achieved leadership status.
Prior to joining GCPL, he worked with Dabur India Limited and Cargill Foods Limited.
Pradeep has an MBA in Marketing from Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) Trichy, and is an alum of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, and Loyola College, Chennai.
He is married to Nisha and they have with two sons.
Head - Information Technology
(India & SAARC)
Milind Korgaonkar is Head - Information Technology (India & SAARC), Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Milind joined GCPL in 2011, with over two and half decades of IT experience across the FMCG and Pharma sectors in India, the United Kingdom and Australia.
His focus has been on transforming the IT function within GCPL, leading the company's IT strategy, driving Industry 4.0, setting GCPL on its cloud computing journey and ensuring data and IT security. He has also been instrumental in setting up the advanced analytics function to leverage data, and has led the integration of multiple complex business applications like SAP, MS Dynamics and MFGPRO.
Prior to joining GCPL, Milind served as IT Head for European operations at pharmaceutical major, Wockhardt, and was based out of the United Kingdom.
Milind graduated from Mumbai University and has completed a Middle Management course from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is married to Soukhya and they have two daughters, Siddhi and Vruddhi. In his free time, Milind and enjoys painting and gardening.
Head - Product Supply Organisation
(India & SAARC)
Pallavi Wad is Head - Product Supply Organisation (India and SAARC), Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Pallavi joined erstwhile Godrej Sara Lee in 1997 and took on various roles in Supply Chain before going on to lead the Purchase function. In 2010, she took on the role of Supply Chain Lead at Godrej's newly acquired Indonesia business, and was responsible for driving supply chain integration and margin improvement initiatives. She currently leads the Product Supply Organisation for GCPL's India and SAARC business and plays a key role in strategising and executing manufacturing, purchase and logistics processes.
In her over 20 year career at Godrej, Pallavi has been instrumental in building expertise across various supply chain functions like Purchase, Manufacturing, Logistics, New Product Development, etc.
Prior to joining Godrej, Pallavi worked at the Steel Authority of India Limited's steel melting shop, and was one of the first women in India to work in this role.
Pallavi has an MBA from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and a Bachelor's in Technology from IIT Kharagpur. She is a film buff and an avid reader, and has a keen interest in history and languages.
Head - Finance
(India & SAARC)
Ravin Mody is Head - Finance (India & SAARC), Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Ravin is a Chartered Accountant with 19 years of varied experience. He started his career with Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited as a Management Trainee, post which he went on to work in various departments, including consolidation of accounts, transfer pricing, international business and ERP implementation. After Torrent, he had a brief stint at AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited, where he worked in the Planning department.
Post this, Ravin worked with Marico Limited for 12 years across various functions ranging from corporate MIS, financial reporting, investor relations, M&A, treasury, taxation and insurance. He also played a key role in the expansion of Marico's business internationally, serving as the Head of Finance for International Business in Cairo, Egypt. During this role he successfully led two consecutive acquisitions as part of Marico's entry strategy in Egypt. Ravin also worked in the company secretarial function when the new Companies Act was implemented, and managed global treasury operations for Marico, where he not only raised funds in India and abroad through a mix of ECB, Rupee, foreign currency debt and foreign exchange exposures, but was also responsible for creating Treasury and Insurance as Centres of Excellence. As part of his stint in investor relations and M&A, he was instrumental in driving communications with investors and shareholders and also identifying inorganic growth opportunities for Marico. He was also a member of the company's CSR Committee.
Post Marico, Ravin worked with Future Consumer Limited as its Chief Financial Officer. He was responsible for an entire gamut of activities, including setting up the finance department, hiring leadership under him, driving GST implementation, managing the Board of Directors in the Audit Committee and Board meetings, setting up the investor relations functions for the company and initiating analyst coverage through a mix of foreign and domestic brokerage houses, setting up the internal audit function, setting up performance monitoring systems, driving cost reduction initiatives, improving the profitability of the company, setting up processes on capital expenditures, implementation of SAP in all subsidiaries across FCL, rationalisation the number of entities, etc.
At GCPL, Ravin is also part of the Treasury Committee, in addition to his role as Finance Head.
Ravin is very fond of cars and gadgets, and in his free time enjoys reading and traveling in India and abroad.
Head - E-commerce
(India & SAARC)
Robert Menzies is Business Head - E-Commerce (India & SAARC), Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
Robert joined Godrej Industries in 2014 as Group Head - Strategy, where he was responsible for turnaround, cost reduction, growth strategy, organisational design, process improvements and M&A for Godrej's different businesses.
In 2018, he went on to start the E-commerce business unit for GCPL's India business and was instrumental in defining its long-term vision and strategy, forming the team, developing new processes and systems and building strong relationships with key customers and partners. Under his leadership, the business has shown very strong top and bottom line growth and has become a key strategic priority.
Robert is also a member of the Group Strategic Finance Committee, which provides oversight on major capital allocations and incentive scheme decisions across the Group.
Prior to joining Godrej, he was a Principal at Bain & Company - one of the world's leading business consulting firms - where he led major client engagements for Indian and global clients across multiple industries, including FMCG, transportation, industrials, financial services and private equity.
Robert holds a Master's degree in Engineering from Clare College, Cambridge University.
He is married to Farah, an entrepreneur in the consumer space, and they have two daughters, Kiara and Alena. Robert enjoys surfing and is a passionate traveller who aims to visit his 100th country within the next five years.
